Odd posts

I apologize that occasionally random posts will show up here. One of the sites I write for is automated to post blurbs to my blog every time I submit, but somehow the automated feature has started sending the posts here instead of to my blog. I am trying to get it fixed, but so far the things I have done have not succeeded in getting this automated feature back on track. If you see any odd "How to" posts here, it is not my intent to spam this board. I thought I would have it fixed  by  now.

His heart of Love

Love opens wide My heart to you
I've come inside to fill you up
and in My Love, such peace is found
its in your soul, Love fills your empty cup

You see, I came to bring life abundantly
not just when you're lonely or afraid
for in every step of life's journey that you take
My Love, on the cross, for you, was beautifully displayed

Come drink in deeply all I have for you
savor each part of the Love I've given
for in that place, where I've come to fill
Is My Love , for you, crucified, and risen

Yes, My heart widened, just for you
My blood shed for the sin of fallen man
but in My Love, where redemption is found
I draw closer to you, because of My outstretched hand

Genesis

Are my ideas of love only pure imagination?
Can they be achieved?
Can this relationship become a trusty rope
or will it be thin string?
When will Isaac's messenger come to find me
for my water buckets are filled and prepared!

Actually, a small dip in the well would do.

Alas. I am no Rebekah. I am only dead grass in winter
and I need your flowers and violin music to revive me.
I need the doves and the orange trees and sun to remind me
what summer is
for this citrus-less winter consumes me.

The passage about Isaac and Rebekah is in Genesis 24 if you would like to read it.

Grace Came Down

It's Grace from the Cross
that gently touched me
such joy that filled my heart, and soul
Yes, it's Jesus who came to save me
Yes, it's His Grace that made me whole

Now such joy fills my spirit with His praises
though my heart once hid it's shameful tears
but God's peace surrounding me in life's darkness
called my name, and quietly said " Child , I am here "

Yes,Grace came down and touched me.
a presence filled the cold night air
a warmth came to surround
my heart with singing
yes, it was Jesus
who I know was standing there

It is God's Grace from the Cross
that touched me
such joy that now fills my heart with Love
yes, it is Jesus who came to fill me
and now, I sing songs of Praise to my God above

so I sing songs of joy to my Savior
bowing low to the One who came
it was God's Grace and Mercy extended
that His hands held Love
which covers a multitude of sin and shame.

It is God's Grace from the Cross
that touched me
such joy that fills my heart, and soul
yes, it is Jesus who came to fill me
Yes, it's His Grace that makes me whole

I woke up singing this poetry in song.. at least my heart and soul felt as if I were this morning. I had to pen these words as they came off my heart, and fingertips as I spent some quiet time listening as Father God sang over me His Song of Delight this morning..

To rest under a wing that holds us near
the Holy Spirit comes with sheltering peace
and when the changes of life threaten our rest
it is Jesus , who comes, to bring us sweet relief

Oh God, of heaven, earth and sky
break forth through the clouds with grace , and mercy shown
when we hurt from weariness, and loneliness inside
please come and remind us You'll never leave us alone

Oh just breathe on us, Your gentle spirit of hope
revive the weariness of body , soul and mind
and in that place where the Spirit draws close
Lord, may it be Your peace that we will always find

Just come and draw us under Your Wings of Hope
a place sheltered by your all encompassing Love
we come, Lord Jesus , knowing You're all we need
I pray Lord, may it be Your peace that falls from heaven above

Come, Come, Come - and Enter In

Come fill with me Your Spirit, Lord
Come and ignite a passion in me, from deep within
don't let me hide behind a bushel , O Lord
Come, come, oh come , and enter in

Yes, settle deeper into my heart, O God
come in times when Your spirit needs to be made strong
break through the times when I stand in the way
O God, enter in , when, and where , You belong

Come fill me Lord, with Your Spirit near
empty my heart where life's callouse's leave me cold
replace in me, things that need to be removed and exchanged
Lord, walking in Your Steps, let my faith be strong and bold.

The Price Of Eternity

Nothing is worth the price of eternity,
Nothing too tempting, too strong.
It's simply too costly, the price that I pay,
The longings I feel are so wrong.

I know in my mind, but I feel in my heart,
I come for Your help on my knees.
So hold me, please hold me, and open Your arms,
And listen once more to my pleas.

The enemy knows just where to attack me,
He knows on my own I am weak,
And so, oh my Father, I come once again,
For Your strength I constantly seek.

Without You I'll fail and Satan prevail,
This battle must be overcome.
Eternity's calling, I fear I am falling
To lies and my feelings succumb.

For strength I am pleading and Your Word agreeing,
For Your sweet deliverance I pray.
Your promise I'm claiming, for heaven I'm aiming,
Don't let me Your mercy betray.

The Integrity of God's Name

Lord , may every day be a Holy day
not just one day out of every week
and in the minutes, and hours surrounding my day
Lord, may You , in that time , be all that I seek

Lord, lead me into Your temple, Lord
a holy place where Your presence always stands
and as I enter in , humbly , from both the front and back
Lord, with my heart and mind, fully see Your Place, and understand

Lord, keep teaching me, even from every stubborn trait I have
take and replacing those with truth - Yours , strong and clear
For in my heart, and soul, Lord , may your Word reside
Lord, Your voice is all that I long to hear

This morning I come, with this , my prayer , today
Lord, that Your Temple , in me, be opened wide
and in my heart, where Your Holiness lives
it's there, may the integrity of Your Name, always reside.

Poem: Nothing Gold Can Stay

Standing at the threshold
of Death's ultimate door,
my last gasp escapes me...
As I've never experienced before.

Into the Heavenly realm
I ascend in wonderment,
now housed in an incorruptible body
and thankful that from sin I did repent.

Standing in God's throne room
freed of all Earthly flesh,
my spiritual essence is energized
and feeling fully refreshed.

Now gathered unto my Savior,
unencumbered reality is more than it seems;
for to be in His Presence
is my accomplished dream.

Having been given my kingly reward,
in these times of everlasting days,
willfully I set my crown at His feet.
For upon my head, nothing gold can stay.

Poem: Enjoy This Season

Withering grass of this season
with your abundance of green,
take advantage of Today -
Contribute to this Earthly scene.

Enjoy your present strength;
ignore worries of the past.
Let the distant failures fade
and let sweeter memories last.

Be true to yourself always,
standing tall and strong.
Focus on your own meadows and...
Learn to hum to Life's song.

The Beauty of His Grace

God creates a beautiful flower
after dark winter fades into the sky
His creation designed with brilliant colors
and is beautiful to those seeing with Godly eyes

His gift to us as His precious sons , and daughters
we , the flowers , designed from His beating heart
our Jesus is the King, and Master Gardener
yes, He knows us, intimately, each gentle and delicate part

His Son " takes to task " , each needed sunrise
knowing the power of healing warmth rising in its way
and God's Presence breaking through the darkest shadows
heals all wounds with His Love, for each of us today

So this gift that our world's been given
such a precious flower - for all to behold
In us , a glimmer of new life in this daily journey
by the Beauty of His Grace, and mercies told.

Yes, God grows a gentle flower in the healing
as the Son rises each morning in the sky
and , after the night brings growing in the process
His beautiful creation, is what God sees both you , and I.

Filtered Through Love

Filtered through God's hands of love
There's nothing can touch me
Unless His heart of love allows,
Oh what security!

For even when the troubles come
He never leaves my side,
And I know this He has allowed
And strength He will provide.

I may not understand it all
But this one thing I know,
He loves me and He knows what's best,
Through this too I will grow.

I trust the Lord implicitly
For in His love I stand,
And He has power over all,
I'll reach His goal as planned.

He's shown me that His plan for me
Exceeds my fondest dream,
What joy, fulfillment, I enjoy
Because He reigns supreme.

"And I am sure that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on that day when Christ Jesus comes back again." Philippians 1:6 (New Living Translation)

The Need For Peace

There was a time I knew His joy
And peace enveloped me,
His pleasure I could sense within,
His blessings I could see.

But then I chose to focus
On meeting my own needs,
And though no conscious choice was made
I planted selfish seeds.

God's peace was lacking in my soul,
I swung both high and low,
Stability no longer reigned,
No fruitfulness I show.

I now confess I am in need,
Alone I can't succeed,
Forgive me for idolatry,
It's You I really need.

Alone I cannot make it right,
Now, Lord, I turn to You,
Come free me from entanglements,
Do what I cannot do.

Remind me that You're all I need,
In You it's peace I'll find,
For nothing else can fill this void,
Renew my heart and mind.

"And the effect of righteousness shall be peace (internal and external), and the result of righteousness, quietness and confident trust for ever." Isaiah 32:17 (Amplified)

Redeeming Love

In the sea of dark and despairing times
hope lies in the heart of our Reigning King
and when sin's curse breaks it's ugly hold on us
its then where His forgiveness, Christ will bring

Yes, the words to My child, " I forgive your sin "
where feet, and minds trod where they need not go
but with My heart to you, I extend My Redeeming Love
for it was on the Cross, Grace and mercy showed

Just come to Me , you who struggle today
lay your thoughts , and worries at My feet
for in the steps where sin led you away from Me
it's here - by Grace, that you and I again , will meet

Yes, just bring to me the stones that weigh you down
the grime of sin that you have carried all alone
for in the place where you let Me take your load
My Restoration I will bring to you, and to your home.

AS A MAN SOWETH

We must not hope to be mowers,
And to gather the ripe golden ears,
Unless we have first been sowers
And watered the furrows with tears.

It is not just as we take it,
This mystical world of ours,
Life’s field will yield as we make it
A harvest of thorns or of flowers.

Johann W. van Goethe
1749-1832

Psalms 126: 5, 6
“Those who sow in tears shall reap with joyful shouting. He who goes to and fro weeping, carrying his bag of seed, Shall indeed come again with a shout of joy, bringing his sheaves with him." NASB

A Beautiful Picture of Grace

A beautiful picture,
not hanging on a wall
but a beautiful picture of redemption
yes, Jesus' life, given for all

To see a picture of God's mercy
hanging straight ,and unmarred
it's beauty extended for our sin
yes, for those wounded by sins scars

But Gods redemption so clear
with not an evil thought to invade
for His grace stands permanently hung
A Cross, for which our sin debt was paid

Oh what a picture of Gods Grace
beautifully hung with His heart and His hands
nail scarred body - broken and battered
yet that beautiful picture, today still stands

Yes, Jesus, He is our beautiful reminder
of His giving such mercy and grace
His beautiful picture of redemption
yes, forever shown on our dear Savior's face

Definition Of Idolatry

No other gods before You,
That's what Your law commands,
But at the very core of this
A heart of love demands.

We cannot put You first, Lord,
If we don't truly love,
All else remains idolatry,
A form of our self-love.

We pose selfish desires
As if they were our due,
And every sin we then commit
Puts us ahead of You.

No competition is allowed,
You only must be first,
But only when we drink of You
Will we no longer thirst.

"You shall have no other gods before or besides Me." Exodus 20:3 (Amplified)
