Faint Ray of Daylight
Faint ray of daylight announces the dawning,
Lights the horizon, filling the sky.
Gone is the darkness, banished the shadows;
The sun has risen and reigns on high.
Faint ray of hope through the night of the ages -
Dawn of a greater Light, Lord Adonai.
Gone is the darkness, banished the shadows;
The Son has risen and reigns on high.

Thank you Kathryn!
He has risen indeed. May He reign in our hearts and lives.
'and the darkness shall turn to the dawning........'
nicely written but I suspect 'gone is the darkness' is a little early in the dealings of eternity
I suppose much like with all poetry, that particular phrase's translation is in the eye of the beholder, Keith.
Thank you both for the kind comments!
