Lightning can be destructive,
We dread its deadly deeds,
And yet the nutrients it brings
The soil badly needs.
The rain seems never ending
And gloom spreads o'er the soul,
But it's the rain that brings the flowers
Through which we love to stroll.
So too the trials of our lives
Fill us with fear and dread,
And yet it's in the difficult
When to our God we've fled.
So often what seems evil
The Lord will use for good,
And we end up on higher ground
Where we have never stood.
"Beloved, do not be amazed and bewildered at the fiery ordeal which is taking place to test your quality, as though something strange--unusual and alien to you and your position--were befalling you. But in so far as you are sharing Christ's suffering, rejoice, so that when His glory (full of radiance and splendor) is revealed you may also rejoice with triumph--exultantly." I Peter 4:12-13 (Amplified)
