To Pine for Christ

Do you have a secret, quiet place
To pine for Christ the Lord?
Do you have a prayer closet space
Where only He’s adored?

Do you seek His daily bread
To pine for Christ the King?
Do you read ‘til fully fed,
Then overflow with singing?

Do you bid the Spirit’s presence
To pine for Christ the Savior?
Has He filled you with His essence
And the joy His angels savor?

Do you break down on your knees
To pine for Christ the Healer?
Have you lingered ‘til you seize
Precious “pearls” from the Revealer?

Do you knock on Heaven’s gate
To pine for Christ’s decision?
Do you want His will and wait
Then accept the Lord’s provision?

Do your tears as rivers run
To pine for Christ the Sovereign?
Do you “get” all He has done
And want nothing less than all of Him?
