Delayed Healing

You said You are my Healer...
This is my year, my day,
And though I see some differences
Full healing You delay.

I do not know Your timing,
I do not know Your plan,
Yet it's Your hand that healeth me,
I need not understand.

In confusion and frustration
The enemy delights,
If he can plant a seed of doubt
Mistrust I then invite.

I know that I can trust You,
You've proven always true,
The past reveals Your faithfulness,
The things You've brought me through.

So, Lord, I will not doubt You,
You've shown Your love for me,
This healing I release to You
Until one day I see.

I totally understand this message in your poem - I am in the midst of a physical journey, that is lingering in the healing of my lungs right now. It is quite difficult to know what God's plans are phsyically for me, but whatever they might be, I am finding it a process of learning how to fully REST in HIM during this time of recuperation. Thanks for sharing this specific poem.. so anointed today, especially today.

Thanks, Karen, I am happy if this poem was a help to you. It's interesting, because I was debating whether or not to post this particular poem.

God bless you, my friend, as you deal with those health issues. It is never easy and I know, sometimes, the future can be frightening because we can't see up ahead. But God is with us every step of the way and you are not alone.

In the meantime, I believe as you draw close to Him, your relationship will continue to be blessed so that you can continue to be a blessing to others through your writing and other areas of your life.

God bless you, my friend, truly!

Thanks, Kara! Yes, I was very excited about that. My husband almost had to come home from work and peel me off the ceiling!

It is a true test of our love for Him, when healing is delayed. Through your testing grace prevails and devotion is displayed! Your poem really spoke to me...thank you so much for sharing your gift.
